Adult Treatment

Did you ever want braces as a child and weren’t able to get them? Did you have braces when you were younger but stopped wearing your retainer and experienced orthodontic relapse? Have you noticed your teeth shifting and getting more crowded over time? Are you planning to have dental work such as crowns, veneers, or implants but wish to straighten your teeth before these permanent restorations are done? Have you noticed that as you age, your bite has changed and your teeth hit in an uncomfortable manner leading you to want to improve their position?

Almost every adult has one or more of these experiences that lead them to consider orthodontic treatment. Orthodontics is not just for teens although many teens do receive orthodontic treatment. We are pleased to provide orthodontic services to children and adults and can coordinate appointments among family members.

We work in consultation with your general dentist to ensure you are a good candidate for orthodontic treatment. As part of our complimentary new patient evaluation, we seek to understand motivations for orthodontic treatment, review orthodontic findings, and discuss treatment options. If your case has a variety of treatment options, it may be recommended to collect diagnostic records and schedule a sit-down conference to present findings and pros/cons of each option.
